Cafe Vis-a-Vis in Dresden

First of all, a big compliment goes to the kitchen, we could enjoy very tasty dishes. At first we were greeted warmly. I opted for the schnitzel but didn't want the schnitzel from pork because I just don't like pork. But what I didn't like at all was when I asked whether the schnitzel was also available as beef or as chicken, came like a shot from the gun, NO, and was then very cold to us. She had brought cutlery to my wife and not to me even though we had both ordered something to eat. I have felt very uncomfortable since then. Another waitress had watched attentively as I was not given any cutlery. She then gave me cutlery. The food was very tasty. We recommend. I would like the waitress to be served like that, cold and inattentive ... It was very unpleasant.

Overpriced prices, extremely unfriendly staff, long waiting times. NEVER AGAIN

I can't share the bad reviews. Very busy during the week and enough waiters available. They were also very friendly although there was stress. Nobody had to wait. Wasps are abnormal. Quite expensive for location. Toilet was clean but in summer it was more like a sauna.

Expensive. Filled with unfriendly wasps "ah it's up to my colleague to serve you" .. long treeeeees ... the ice had melted. I finally had a milkshake.

Wednesday noon in June, about 5 tables occupied. We sat there for a quarter of an hour, the waiters passed us several times without taking any notice of us. The plates of the previous guests were still on the table, the waiters stood together and chatted. When a couple sat at the next table and the order was immediately taken and brought and we were still ignored, we went. No information can be given about the food and drinks, prices and the like, but the service is underground. Fortunately, there are enough other places where you are served and where you like to leave your money. 👎👎👎

Eat underground. French fries and schnitzel, tasted of overdue fat. I feel ill. But what hunger does not drive everything in. The view is great. It's best to just drink something here and eat elsewhere. Rarely eaten so bad. My stomach calls for a schnapps. But definitely not here ...

Nice service and really good Stollen there was. The ambience is wonderful.

Prices were okay considering the prominent location. We sat outside. The toilet was adventurous to find through stuffy rooms, but clean. The staff was friendly, the Eierschecke and the coffee set in order, but not more.

Such a bad service we have never experienced. 3 waiters we have addressed (all rude) after over 30 minutes we could finally give up our order. Food miserable! A star is already too much! Never again!!!

Actually, the cafe does not deserve a star unfriendly conditions (we've been here for the second time), toilets are absolutely disgusting and are also used by guests and tourists. Glasses, drinks are not filled enough. An absolute impudence if you pay for 3 drinks and an ice cream 19 euros and at some other restaurants you definitely get more for your money

Bad staff service; visited the place twice within 2 days and 2 out of 3 waiters were rude and unfriendly. The quality of food was still good though.

Good cakes and good coffee. On the other hand extremely onorganaizd staff. We ordered 7 items. Of the 6 that came 1 wasn't the thing we ordered. The wrong item was taken away but wasn't replaced. The bill at the end at least had the consumed items. No mention or apologie was given (we didn't press the issue).

Waited about 20 mins but none of the waiter came. Eventually we called one of them, she told us to wait and wasted another 15mins. There were European looking family who came much later than us and they were served first while asian people were ignored totally. Such a bad "racism" experience !!!

The location is great but prices higher as expected. Coffee was not very tasty and neither were the desserts. They tasted a bit unnaturally but the staff was helpful and kind.

Nice view. Tasty Kuchen. Pleasant surroundings. But: worst service I have experienced in Germany. Ordered cake and coffee. Cake came in two minutes. Coffee came 25 minutes later, right before the bill I had been requesting without success finally arrived. Stay away unless your patience for incompetent service is stratospheric.

Nice place for coffee and cake (or something to eat too). The view over the river is really nice on a sunny summer's day. Although the official address marks it in the Hilton, itbis easier accessed from the back - walk around towards the river rather than through the whole hotel. Enjoy a beer here and relax...

On the way to the table in the outdoor area, no welcome from the service staff. Instead, the face was slightly warped, as if you were not welcome. In any case, the order was quickly accepted. After a short time the drinks were served. Food: Ordered a schnitzel with champau sauce and fries. Also the food was served rather quickly. At the next meal we prefer to go to another restaurant. The view from the outside is very good - but you will not get enough of it.

ridiculously slow service. the food was good though. but the pace of service means that you need at least a few hours to have a simple coffee and snack.

Perfect tea, service and view over the Elbe on the terrace.
